It is highly debateable that the Archbishrophic of Ohrid was Macedonian as we know it today.

I know you probably do not place any credence in wikipedia articles, but that article is pretty balanced.

Highly debatable the Catholic church is the same as we know it today as well. But it was in Macedonia and continued with traditions founded in Macedonia. What more would you want?

Wasn't it under another exarchate at the time?

It was autocephalous at most times. This means it was independent and had no higher authority. It was extremely powerful once upon a time and people seem to ignore its power in the region prior to the phanariot inspired Ottoman decree in 1767.

I think it was so powerful because the Macedonians were the driving force of European christianity for over a millenia.

Австралиско-новозеландската епархија ќе се дели на два дела. Дванаесет црковни општини остануваат под јурисдикција на владиката преспанско-пелагониски Петар, а исто толку црковни општини - 12 кои не го признаваат неговиот легитимитет и се во повеќегодишен судски спор околу црковните имоти ќе добијат нов администратор. Првата епархија ќе се нарекува МПЦ - Епархија за Австралија и Нов Зеланд и ќе биде со седиште во Мелбурн. Втората, пак, ќе се вика МПЦ - Епархија за Канбера, Австралија и Тасманија, а седиштето ќе биде во Сиднеј.

Одлуката е донесена на Епархиското собрание на Австралиско-новозеландската епархија одржано на 24 август оваа година а вчера ја соопшти владиката Петар на прес-конференција во Скопје. Според митрополитот, донесената одлука треба да се потврди на седница на Светиот архијерејски синод, како и на Црковниот народен собир што треба да се одржи од 5 до 7 октомври оваа година.

Надлежниот архијереј за овој континент смета дека била неопходна ваква разврска, бидејќи во изминатите 16 години не можел да се создаде квалитетен литургиски живот во сите црковни општини.

Is it true that petar is only fullfilling part of his job only as administrator & nothing else.He has bought nothing but division to the curches ever since he has come to australia.He has destroyed what people have built from the sweat of the people.So many millions of dollars wasted on lwayers fees etc.When his task should have been to dsraw people together and not divide them.Think about what 6 or 7 million could have done here in australia like build them a croation like club etc.How did we ever do without a vladika in the past.We need this man like a hole in the head he is utterly hellbent on destroying people ,properties etc the evidence speaks volumes outthere.He should be defrocked for the damage he has done.So very unchristian in everything that he is doing.I'm sure others will agree with me that this man petar has done nothing but havoc to the macedonia church.No one likes or least of all truts him..From what i heard he rules the chrch with an iron fistHe demands total obedience & operates totally unchristian way.

how come the inc "churches"are only called communities.Why can't they call themselves curches.Is this a by product of petar(exclusive rights)If the community churches are incorporated petar can't seem to touch them as the church is a legal person or body.

Communities is what they are. Even the Macedonian Orthodox Church constitution defines them as communities. They are Macedonian Orthodox communities that operate their own parishes, among other community operations and activities. A name doesn't have to encompass all of the community's activities. The constitution does that.

Do you see the name 'church' on the title deeds to any of the Petar owned 'churches'?

no your right but i thought that he might have won something in the courts that someone told me & that according to them in the courts to stop the communities using the word church.But there seems to be two sides to a story & you have explained it well.What you shown us igor on face book is amazing i never really knew the depths this clown petar will sink.The sooner he is replaced the better.Whether that will be the solution who knows.?In canada i here that the use of vladika seems to be working but at what cost * i don't advocate the use of a vladika.I think the churches in australia managed years ago without him quite well,thus obviating the need for him.

Personnally i only go to light a candle on certain occassions & hate being told from what i here goes on in the petar camp that this is not a church or this is not a priest.I take a lot of convincing & even then i don't care the priest is just doing their ordained duties.When did they become evil just because a man called vladika said so.Also when is the church not a church.I remember some guy who had a christening done in one church which the vladika didn't recognize refused to perform a wedding ceremoney unless they had the christening done by them.Who are they to question people like that.THe stupidity of these people never ceases to amaze me.They dare question people where they had their christenings.As far as i'm concerned people like the vladika should go jump,who is to dictate to us.I remember going to maso in 2006 & i saw on television how petar was going to sell a moinastery a very old one because they had cracks in the foundations.He was so eager to do it he wasn't going to consult the people.But when the people heard what he proposed & that he was going to do it.They said (the peoiple) that the cracks aren't that serious & told petrar he wasn't to sell the monasatery.Immediately petar the liar said he wasn't going to sell anyway.The man is a damned liar i saw it first hand on tv.How the hell do you put up with the guy year after year with this clown,igor??
