oh, and by the way, those Islands you refer to..... prior to the Greek handover by the British, their inhabitants spoke either Italian or Turkish. This is how Greek these Islanders are!

From the village of P’pezhani, Tashko Popov, Dimitar Popov-Skenderov and Todor Trpenov were beaten and sentenced to 12 years prison. Pavle Mevchev and Atanas Popov from Vrbeni and Boreshnica joined them in early 1927, they were soon after transferred to Kozhani and executed. As they were leaving Lerin they were heard to shout "With our death, Macedonia will not be lost. Our blood will run, but other Macedonians will rise from it"

Mikail, trust me when I say that when this politcal fiasco is over we will be the best of allies in the region. Mark my word.
If you haven't notice we don't easily forget..When Greeks...I mean WHEN Greeks eventually Kiss our Arses...mark my word..we will still rub it in your faces...
For all the bad deeds Greeks have done...it always comes back to bite you...never forget that...The Macedonians originates it, the Bulgarians imitate it and the Greeks exploit it!

One of 3 possibilities could have happened…
1. They just helped out and allowed Macedonia to become a country. Likely result friends.
2. Serbia and Bulgaria reneges on the deal and the 3 neighbours have their Balkan war and everybody gets exactly the amount of land they have now but Greece decides to help Macedonia create a country and join the west as she did. Likely result friends.
3. Greece says look as a separate country you might be in danger from the other two and does a Hong Kong type deal with the west…ie the real truth is we didn’t fight a war and sufferer losses both monetary and lives for nothing….recognises the Macedonians as a minority with minority rights and the west keeps an eye on things much like how they did over Greece. Likely result friends.
Other likely result from the above scenarios…
Rather than diverting money time and effort suppressing someone it goes in productive activities increasing Greece’s wealth.
Militarily they are a greater number to defend themselves together.
The Macedonians didn’t originally set off with the intent of becoming communists…some did and they went off to join Titos army…the overwhelming majority were in Macedonian army units and only thought they were cooperating with Tito. The Macedonians in Greece only turned to communism out of desperation to liberate themselves from Greece and if the only way they could was to get Titos help and that meant being communist then so be it. If there wasn’t this great need to liberate themselves from the Greeks it is unlikely communism would have nowhere near taken a hold in Greece to the same extent it did.
The choices we make.
On the other hand we cordially smile at each other while Greeks hope Macedonia ceases to exist
Greeks Debate about Macedonia dispute, hope the country Ceases to Exist
and most Macedonians wish the same for Greece.
Five types of Macedonians go to Greece.
1. The deluded traitors like Crvenkovski who could care less about anything as long as there was a dollar to be made ie the ones who want to sink the ship for a dollar.
2. Those who think its all too much and if there’s going to be a sinking ship I better make as much money as I can because if the ship doesn’t sink its always good to have lots of money to splash about buying drinks to celebrate the recognition of Macedonia.
3. Those deluded by the ideal western life of travel and its like a badge to show off to say you have been to this country and that country including Greece.
4. Those who have family or ancestral ties to Egej Macedonia and don’t really think of it as going to Greece.
5. Those who made a shopping trip for some item that was cheaper in Greece or unavailable in Macedonia…more so in the past about not being available.
The majority will never be BFFs while there will always be economic and deluded types. Recognise Macedonia today and look for friends in 50 to 100 years.

Politics aside, I think we have more to share than divide and if you look at the people that come here for vacation or the Greeks that go there for pensions / shopping / whatever they dont have problems and that is the most important thing to consider.
