Football was the best in the 80's and 90's. The last great game was the 1999 game Essendon VS Kangaroos with both Llyod and Carey going crazy. The last great grand final was in 2004. Perhaps the last great AFL season as well.
I miss the power forwards, i miss the little duesl between players e.g Wayne Carey vs Glenn Jackovich, Greg Wlliams vs Sean Denham etc
These days it seems like every afl player is an athlete only and not a footballer. I miss the days were it didnt matter if you were too tall, too short, couldnt run fast but if you knew how to play football you could be a good footy player
