Perhaps:

Prior to 1988, Greece's policy was that Macedonia did not exist. Then it renamed 3 provinces in Northern Greece to include "Macedonia" in their new composite names. Now suddenly Macedonia is Greek?

Thanks Risto and yes, if anybody would like to make a donation specifically to support this aspect of our work all they need to do is make a contribution via the AMHRC/MHRMI websites and inform us about it.

On the other point you raise, it is more accurate, though we just wanted to be succinct - the message is the same really, either way. This is a campaign designed for inside the Republic of Macedonia, to hopefully contribute in some way toward encouraging people in Macedonia, after all these years, to begin once more to question the existence of "talks" that should never have been brought into being.

Indeed this is a fantastic initiative, and something that I think we all hope will help the Macedonians in the Republic of Macedonia to remain strong and steadfast against allowing any Macedonian Government, or any foreign Government, to mess with the Macedonian name.

What you and the MHRMI have done is create an option for Macedonians within the Republic of Macedonia that the Macedonian government has never ever offered (and would never offer in a million years) its citizens. And that is to end the name negotiations. I have this strange feeling there will be a street mobilizing team on the horizon taking names and building on this.

They have nothing to do with this Prolet. This is a joint MHRMI/AMHRC initiative. Let's not turn this topic into another useless UMD thread that ends up going no where. This a very important development for Macedonians within Macedonia.

@ TM: it states that MHRMI and AMHRC are inviting all Macedonian Organizations to support this initiative.

UMD have "Macedonian" in itīs name, so i think they are free to back it up if they agree on ending this humiliating Negotiations.
