I was talking to my First cousin last night and he was telling me a story when he was working in Melbourne in the 1970's... He nearly lost his job for fighting with a so called greek.. the argument was that this so called greek was telling my cousin that MACEDONIA DOES NOT EXIST, THERE IS NO MACEDONIA...!!!!!!!!!
How short memories these gypsies have....
Go and tell the Serbs or Croats that they had no identity under a Yugoslavia.
Not MKD, but a couple of Chicago-Greeks where I live stalked my facebook and stole my pictures and Photoshopped them inappropriately and posted them on YouTube because of my support for MKD.
In Prespa when I visit they call us "vtopih" which means "locals" in Greek. I think its an unconcious admission that the area is actually our homestead.
But it seems to change alot. I have heard "SKOPJIANHS" which never was used before the independance of ROM, FYROM(which of course does have the world "Macedonia" in it) "NOVA" and I have also heard old Vlachs and Pontians call it "Servia" and some people still call it "Yugoslavia" and we are right on the border you can swim across into ROM. This is over 20 years of voyages through the area. Inside the family home we call it Makedonija. I dont think we're the confused ones?

Very pretty region of Macedonia Damian. I have enjoyed my drives through there. Though I still can't get used to the freshwater fish taste .... tastes kind of like mud if you ask me.
You are right though, the silly word the Greeks use for Macedonians is a veiled admission about the Macedonians being the indigenous race in the region.

A friend of mine was telling me about an incident he had with the modern greeks when he was holidaying in Halkidiki 2004.. (Occupied part of Macedonia)...
They were having dinner at a restaurant when the owner of the restaurant, An elderly Greek lady approached him after seeing his Tattoo on his shoulder (Cross & Macedonian Sun) she asked him “Where he was from ”..?
My mate replied back saying that his from Bitola, Macedonia, the old Greek lady went hysterical and yelling at him advising him that he should call himself Skopje ..
My Mate also got angry and wasn’t giving in and was calling out “ I’m Macedonian and this Tattoo is Macedonian “..
A minute later the old lady called her sons to kick him out of the restaurant while she continued to cause a scene..
The old lady was still being feral even he was being escorted out by a few guys, my mate continue to call out in the restaurant “I am Macedonian and I will never change my name.”..
One thing that he said and will never forget was at the end of the whole incident... he noticed a few customer in the restaurant got up and started clapping for my mate for standing up to those gypises...
He was pretty sure they were from Republic of Macedonia...

What I’ve notice in my dealings with Greeks over the years.. is that the modern greek women are the ones who are aggressive more then the men at times and they are the ones who brain wash their children to hate...
The Macedonians originates it, the Bulgarians imitate it and the Greeks exploit it!

I wouldn't mind betting that the crazy old bitch was Macedonian.
I reckon when it comes to getting fucked over in Egej, it's our own people doing the worst shit, whether its the imbeciles at border control, shopkeepers, restaurant owners or taxi drivers.
The worst behavior is committed by our own because they're the ones that have to prove their 'greekness'...after nashite, it's the fuckin' prosfygi doin' the dirty work...

I reckon that is about right.
