I was young when i left Skopje but i know my whole pedigree who my Grand Parents,Great Grand Parents were. Those people who you think are Skopjani are not Skopjani even if they are born there, they act like Skopje is theirs but its not. I know people who live in Skopje and are born in Skopje however their parents come from Prilep,Bitola,Galichnik,Ohrid,Strumica,Stip etc and if you ask them where they are from they wont say Skopje thats fore sure.

This is a discussion i really hate because its simply bullshit, i do hate it when somebody without a pedigree makes Skopje look like a bad city for the rest us and gives the city a bad name. Those proper Skopjani, those who come from good families and those who have manners (Not Ulichari) will always treat people with respect, i know with myself my parents have never told me that i should put anybody down just because they come from another city or village. Sure Skopje is by far the biggest city in Macedonia if you exclude Solun, however people simply dont have that respect anymore, firstly for themselves then for their families and friends. It is a big shame really and i can understand where you are coming from Jankovska, i dont agree with discrimination at all, i believe everyone should be given a chance if they idiots then so be it, you cant say you didnt try.

As a result of the village-city migration after WW2 inforced by the socialist-communist regime and the nationalization of the property.

Bratot, Skopje has over 800,000 now with all the villages like Kondovo,Drachevo etc I wont even go so much as saying WW2 its probably from the Zemjotres onwards. We lost alot of land to nacionalizacija ourselves, they are trying to do something about it but its never going to happen. I know people who have land titles from the Ottoman Era in the city square (Plostad Makedonija), where holiday Inn is, National Bank (SOK Banka) and the Vlada is giving them exchanged lands in some village in Ohridsko or giving them something like 200 denars per square meter and that land is over 1000 euros per square meter.

You have no idea what Skopjani are like.
