China is preparing a non-war operation for Taiwan - Shukan Gendai. Beijing wants to avoid mistakes of Russians: no any long-lasting war in Taiwan as Russians in Ukraine, but a quick liquidation of Taiwanese authorities and suppression of any resistance for independence.

China is in no position to be launching any sort of operation against anyone. They are hemorrhaging from multiple wounds, the worst one being the lack of food in the country. Their growers have walked away from the farms as they are sick of being burnt by the CCP and they are in a metric shit ton of debt they are no longer able to service, let alone pay back. As a result, they enacted the latest round of spicy cough lockdowns to reduce the demand on the system by having millions locked up and eating what's in their fridges and pantries.

The CCP is too busy backstopping the failing property developers as they are ALL insolvent. Evergrande was just the first domino that fell, many more have since gone tits up leaving nothing for the creditors. The CCP put a halt on the flow of capital out of the country a couple of years ago knowing full well that their empire was built on quicksand.

Let's not forget the disastrous one child policy they had running for 35 years. That clusterfuck is already "reaping" rewards yet the full extent of the problem is yet to rear its head. Thirty five years of discarding first born girls is the gift that keeps on giving, their population will be in terminal decline before long as a country full of three inch pee pees won't bode well for them.
