The modern greek identity can only exist if there is a perceived enemy, it has galvanized a mix of ethnicities into a unique group that uses a common fear to unite them...first it was the Turks and to that list are now the Macedonians and the albanians.

Xenophobia is the 'glue' that holds everything in place because 'everyone' is against the 'greek' and everyone wants a piece of them...or so the story goes...

Has the Macedonian government raised this as a serious diplomatic issue? I hate it how our politicians just sit on their hands in these situations. We need statements immediately, as well as letters of protest to Greece, their masters in Berlin and Brussels.
