    now more than ever
    1) Macedonians belong to the "older" Mediterranean substratum...
    2) Macedonians are not related with geographically close Greeks, who do not belong to the "older" Mediterranenan substratum...

Alexander the Great Statues around the World

If it is true then it proves how hypocritical they can be.

I did some quick web browsing and found statues of Alexander the Great in cities/countries such as:
      • Istanbul, Prague, New York, Boston, Kiev, Egypt, Solun, Athens, Base of Eiffel Tower in Paris, Mansion House in London, Edinburgh, Tajikistan, Munich in Germany, Naples in Italy
      • Commercial Tee-Shirts, Gifts, Furniture, Sculpture, Worldwide Museums

In the meantime Greece encouraged and funded Iraq to build a statue of Alexander in Norther Iraq. Did US, EU, UN or Spain object to that - I don't think so!

I say ignore them as being part of Macedonia alone we deserve and morally have more rights than the above to built statues of well known Macedonians such as Alexander and Phillip in Macedonia.

As written on one of a Dutch Website "Alexander the Great became King of Macedonia when his father Philip II was killed (336 b. C.). Alexander immediately took action and fought with his troups against Greece, Egypth and Persia. By the time he died he ruled over most of the so called civilized world. He died in 323 b.C. at the age of 33."

Google Maps will let them see the statue one day.
They should spend more time looking at problems in their own countries.
This is not a problem for anybody.

I find it hard to believe that Brussels or Washington would have problems with Macedonia building statues of Alexander the Great. This is from a “greek” source remember.

But then again we are dealing with the EU… and it seems like they don’t have a problem with Grease having “Alexander Mania”….

As stated by the Greek newspaper......

It's a joke. Plain and simple. How many times has it been now since we have repeatedly heard some Greek fool that has received 'inside information' from the US or EU which never transpires? It's all scare-mongering garbage, the same type as you would hear in Macedonia itself.

The Greeks are losing, they have been for a long time now, and they know it. Nothing is beneath the racist elements in Greek society today, no trick is too dirty and no lie is too great. Heck, they admit to paying people for the promotion of their state-sponsored version of events, it would seem that nothing that is genuine comes from the mouth's of Greek politicians, let alone their lackeys the Greek journalists.
In the name of the blood and the sun, the dagger and the gun, Christ protect this soldier, a lion and a Macedonian.
