Macedonia Albanians Make Push for Federal State

Discontented with the current Albanian parties working in coalition with Macedonian ones, some Albanian intellectuals say it is time to consider the option turning Macedonia into a federation. Intellectuals and others who have contributed towards the rights of Albanians in Macedonia say it is time to find new ways for an ethnic community comprising around 30 per cent of the population to organize itself afresh within the Macedonian state.

At a time where the country is being swept by political crises and by institutional stalemate, these Albanian voices say the way they have been represented for the last 25 years in Macedonia has to change, as they still feel like second-class citizens, with little rights. The creation of a federal state or a parliament with two chambers are seen as two possible ways to give the two main communities in Macedonia equal rights. However, the majority of Albanians are also clear that before pioneering new forms of organization they first have to unite with each other.
What nonsense is this now. The government needs to tear up the Ohrid agreement. They have more rights than the ethnic Macedonians living in Macedonia. Look at how Macedonians are treated in Albania and how the Serbs are treated in Kosovo. Secondly no way do they make up 30% of the population living in Macedonia. All the protestors and people speaking this nonsense need to a leave the country or be locked up. Hope the Macedonian army is stock piling weapons.

Something needs to be done, the likelyhood of UCK returning and civil war is a scary reality. Albanians have way too many rights in the Republic. They do not represent a quarter of the populatin, there is just no way. Forget the Republic's army, the Macedonians should be forming paramilitary to deal with the situation if required.
I know of two tragic histories in the world- that of Ireland, and that of Macedonia. Both of them have been deprived and tormented.

Macedonians allowed themselves to be put into this predicament. They kept voting for treacherous politicians and lacked the foresight to see what the future holds even though the writing was already on the wall. I fear that for things to get better in Macedonia, they must first become worse, that is if it's not too late already.
In the name of the blood and the sun, the dagger and the gun, Christ protect this soldier, a lion and a Macedonian.

Let the poor saps in Macedonia keep turning a blind eye, just to protect the little scraps that are thrown to them from time to time. Pretty soon keeping their measly 150 euro a month jobs is going to be the least of their worries.

When the shit hits the fan soon, they will lose their jobs, their freedom, and their country. Then we will see if that 150 euro salary was worth the eventual cost.

It was too late for Macedonians a hundred years ago, its amazing they managed to drag it out this long.

        Same stupid cowards.
