Anybody else listen to the Macedonian radio hour on 1026AM yesterday? Miki Dodevski was doing an interview. He reckons that he supported the amnesty law with a heavy heart but it was for the benefit of Macedonian interests to allow a free pass to those terrorists! When he was asked what the policy is of the government where it concerns the dispute with Greece, he couldn't give a clear answer, and instead told the person interviewing him to ask the government! I thought he is part of the DPNE government? The most he said on that front was that he had faith in the Macedonian government to make the right choices. Even after being confronted with the fact that Macedonia is shunned daily by the EU, he still supported Macedonia's entry into that racist hole. He claims his day is filled with meetings and is involved in councils or committees that look after economics and such. I didn't know the purpose of a diaspora representative was to talk about economics. Anyway, right after the interview, an older Macedonian called up and said that he shouldn't be coming to Australia acting like some DPNE representative, but instead he should be a diaspora representative and convey the sentiments and concerns of the diaspora to the Macedonian government.

Too many Macedonians get sucked into the Gruevski-type of plastic 'patriotism' by smooth-talking individuals. 99% of the diaspora is saying NO to the EU because they see what is in store for our historical identity and for the people of Macedonia who are being hood-winked by their government(s) - yet here is our so-called 'representative' talking about EU integration. It is almost like they ignore the fact that the EU will not allow Macedonia in until it changes its name (again). Not only is this individual not my representative as a diaspora Macedonian, he is not even a representative for the majority of diaspora Macedonians. He merely serves as an extended arm of the Gruevski government, nothing more (where it concerns the actual reason he went there in the first place).
In the name of the blood and the sun, the dagger and the gun, Christ protect this soldier, a lion and a Macedonian.

Miki doesn't really sound like he is supporting anyone in the diaspora except the ruling party .All we would be getting is more of the same.We have a yes man who will oblige in the name of the diaspora.A pretend man in reality supporting gruevski in reality but not the diaspora. He doesn't seem to hold steadfast to the ideals of the diaspora. We had a feeling that this sort of thing would happen,so it's a waste of time trying to talk any sense to him.

This is what they were always mean't to be - they were hand picked by DPMNE, and in Dodevski's case, it appears with Petar's blessing.

If it was with Petars blessing, then the same fate awaits Dodevski!
Furthermore if DPMNE are involved in or associated with this blessing then ROM is in much more serious trouble than most people realise!

I'm not sure if it was posted on this site, but the 15 Chruches that are not under Petar's authority sent a letter to Gruevski earlier this year advising him not to preselect Dodevski because of his ties with Petar.

That would indicate to me a number of things, firstly Gruevski is not interested in those 15 churches or the parishoners(assuming he ignored the request/letter) secondly, that being the case, he is in support of Petar by default and by association, in accepting Dodevki's preselection?
                        Your thoughts/analysis?

As far as I can tell, Gruevski has supported Petar all along. In fact, as far as I can tell, every successive Macedonian Government has supported Petar with the aim of bracking the back of the Australian Macedonian community so that they can control them ideologically like they do the North American Macedonian community.

Just as I suspected, we may have to expand our thread on traitors to the Macedonian Cause! I suggest we name, shame, blame and restrain them!

Should Diaspora representatives have to tow the line on ruling party decisions?

Miki Dodevski is currently serving the party of Nikola Gruevski in Macedonia. His purpose is to convey the sentiments of the Macedonian-Australian Diaspora. However, his actions to date don't appear to be congruent with his purpose. The fact that he voted in favour of granting amnesty to NLA terrorists who committed war crimes in Macedonia in 2001 so soon after taking up his position clearly demonstrates how far removed he is from the general views of Macedonian-Australians. This thread, therefore, has been created for Macedonians who disagree with these actions and those who wish to get their message across to him directly. Below are two of his email addresses:

                              [email protected]
                              [email protected]

All Macedonians from the diaspora are encouraged to send him emails and voice their discontent with his actions. If he is truly our representative, then he should be held accountable for his actions.

As for the poll, I voted NO. He is supposed to represent Macedonians from the diaspora, and unless the views of the ruling party are aligned with those of the diaspora, he should not be supporting them, as their decisions are detrimental to the Macedonian Cause.
