    Then what is his purpose?
In the name of the blood and the sun, the dagger and the gun, Christ protect this soldier, a lion and a Macedonian.

Does he have any real say in what goes on there?

None. How would he? He's just some random guy from Australia who has no friends and no connections and I doubt anyone takes him seriously. He's just there to fill a seat and keep Gruevski in power.

Gruevski still maintains the right to sack him should he decided to voice his concerns in a more assertive manner, is that correct? If so, all the more reason why the diaspora candidate(s) should be indepedent.

Now that he has been elected, I don't think there's much Gruevski can do until the next election. But that does not mean he has any influence. I think its still possible for him to become an independent, but again, there would not be any real benefit other than to symbolically raise issues in parliament.

So if he did wish to assert himself and 'rock the boat' by continually raising diaspora concerns with regard to Macedonia and make Gruevski look like the opportunist that he is, the latter cannot do anything to stop it. Sure, his actions may only be symbolic, but how symbolic they could be if he just did right by the Macedonian Cause! I won't hold my breath, but it would be a pleasant suprise and something which could inspire others in Macedonia.

I'm not entirely familiar with parliamentary procedure in Macedonia, but there are many ways the ruling party can silence the opposition and in particular independents in parliament. His best bet would to speak out in the media and rattle some feathers.

If he is there to defend the natural rights of Macedonians and the sovereignty of Macedonia, then he needs to consider such options. Otherwise, if he doesn't challenge the treacherous policies of Gruevski, he is there to get his face on TV and be just another lackey.

Time will tell, but from what I've heard among other activists, we shouldn't hold our breath.

Where is our Australia representative to make an official statement on the recent amnesty law that will allow the terrorists to get a free pass after murdering our people? As far as I am concerned, if you are a part of Gruevski's government, then you support his policies. And how can groups in Australia get in touch with him?

Milososki said he hoped that parliamentary cooperation between the countries would be enhanced with the election of a deputy from Australia to represent the interests of the diaspora in Macedonia's Parliament.
I thought Milososki was out of the scene or on his way out? But more importantly, how will this 'deputy' represent the interests of the diaspora?

Well if I can get the audio from 3ZZZ it is clear that Miki Dodevski loves the Albanian as he voted for the flag and for Albanian to be spoken in parliment.

All those who voted for him well done he really loves the diaspora by going against thier wishes.

For anyone that's interested, you can read the full hansard of the Macedonian Parliament here:

I'm still trying to find anything the Dodevski has said in Parliament - so far I've come up with nothing.
