Speaking at the ceremony, Sambevski said it was significant national libraries, being a national treasure, to have various offers from all around the world. "It is a great honor for Macedonia that the National Library of China will tend for these books, being part of its fund made up of 29 million books, thus ranking it as one of the biggest in the world," the Ambassador said.

Thanking for the donation, Library's deputy director Chen Li said that by exchanging cultural values, the overall cooperation between China and Macedonia was being expanded. "The donation is an act that strengthens the mutual friendly relations between the two libraries and countries," he noted.
