Seing that he is a direct EU rapporteur for Macedonia i wonder if somebody influenced him into writing bad reports about our country? Its no secret that he is very close to the SDSM party who openly promoted him so did A1 Television which still hasnt aired this story.
Macedonia Can't Catch a Break as its EU Rapporteur is Caught Accepting Bribes
Monday, 21 March 2011
Former Romanian deputy prime minister Adrian Severin and former Slovenian foreign minister Zoran Thaler - both Socialists - were exposed by British media (the Sunday Times) as having accepted cash payments in return for introducing amendments to legislation.
European Parliament spokesman Jaume Duch said that Diana Wallis, a British liberal democrat and one of the EU assembly's vice presidents, has ordered an inquiry into the scandal.
'The allegations made by the Sunday Times are serious and the European Parliament takes them seriously,' he told the German Press Agency dpa.
Zoran Thaler is very well known to the Macedonian public. Ironically, Mr. Thaler is assigned by the EU as a Rapporteur where he gets to (judge, grade) the country on its accomplishments or lack thereof, also tells Macedonia how it should tackle corruption!?
Is the Macedonian Government aware that Mr. Thaler's 'repports' and 'opinions' can be purchased for as little as 100,000 Euros? Undoubtedly, they became aware thanks to the British Media who was on a mission to expose corrupt EU Officials (or perhaps expose the EU as a corrupt institution).
This massive exposure of bribery and corruption among high ranking EU officials begs the question - who influenced (paid for) Mr. Thaler's strange 'reports' on Macedonia? Judging by the video, all you seem to need is a credit card.
