I doubt I would have been in favour of the baby bonus in RoM because I m not even in favour of it here in Australia
Completely different. Australia's motivation was because of an overall drop of birth-rates, Macedonia's motivation was to preserve the indigenous ethnic majority of the region and increase the number of other minorities that aren't as numerous. The baby bonus concept in Macedonia was good because it encouraged people in areas with lower birth-rates to increase the sizes of their families, lest they be outnumbered by swathes of unemployed ethnic Albanians who have several children per family. It was a good initiative and in the interest of Macedonians.
Aren't the ethnic Albanians representing about a quarter of the government workforce?
Is that actually the case, though? Or are we trying to argue against a policy that is good for Macedonians, because of a certain 'lazy' characteristic that is present not only in Macedonia, but the rest of the Balkans too?
In the name of the blood and the sun, the dagger and the gun, Christ protect this soldier, a lion and a Macedonian.
