An Albanian politician is convicted and sentenced in absence from a Belgian Court in Namur because of organizing assassinations in Macedonia and Kosovo, reported belgian newsportal RTL-Info and paper De Morgen.
The Belgian Court convicted Idajet Bekiri to four years jail and issued an international warrant via Interpol for his arrest because he is currently living in Albania.
According to RFL and De Morgen, Bekiri is the founder of a political party FBKSH whose main goal is the creation of "United Albania".
The military arm of the 'political' party - AKSH took responsibility for the bombing in front of Struga's City Court, as well as the bombing a bridge in Mitrovica, Kosovo.
Idajet Bekiri of Namur, organized and planned assassinations campaign in Macedonia and Kosovo, stated Belgian federal prosecutor Jean Mark Trigo.
The investigation spanned Belgium, Kosovo and Macedonia. All evidence pointed to the Bekiri's involvement in the bombing from planning, funding and criminal aspect.
"Bekiri's criminal actions jeopardized international security" concluded the federal prosecutor.
