Why has it taken so long for UMD to clarify this position?

If indeed this is the position, can we expect to see an apology for previous statements which counter the current position?

Can we also expect to see a stable position by UMD on this and will UMD undertake an oath in upholding the values of The Macedonian Cause?

UMD has a great deal of respect for Ambassador Reeker. His last statement was highly inappropriate and UMD already conveyed this to him and to the State Department.

Macedonia's future depends on what the Macedonians want, not what the international community or Greece or Reeker wants. Macedonians control their future. Macedonians do not want a name change, and will not stand for it. Thus, as someone on this forum says, the issue is null and void. It is all a game of public diplomacy and awareness. We need to get more media attention favoring Macedonia's position.

It is insulting what the international community is doing, however, we won't succeed by just highlighting how insulting it is. But rather doing something about.

Macedonia needs help and we are hanging out on forums and chatting about how insulting someone's statement was. Instead of chatting about it, we would suggest getting out there and paving the halls of Congress, Parliament etc...and advocating support for Macedonia.

3 million people never signed the emails. They played with the numbers. There are about 750 european parliamentarians. 4000 people signed the emails. They multiplied the two figures to make it look impressive. In actual fact, only 4,000 individuals signed their online petition/email that was forwarded to each of the 750 european parliamentarians. So each MP only recieved 4,000 emails in his inbox, not 3 million.
