We all know what this 'name dispute' is all about.
As is commonly known, Scandinavians created the state of Kievan Rus (or Kievan Russia). Even today, as an example, in Estonian Rootsi means Sweden. The term, name, and original (group of) people were not and are not of Slavic origin, or meaning. The Scandinavians should ask to have Russia back.

As I have said in the past. The EU does not want Macedonia in it. If they did we would be a member right now. All the EU has to do is put economic pressure on Greece and they would have no choice but to widthdrawl their veto. But they haven't.Comment

Kathimerini Newspaper is reporting today that a new name is on the table that will replace "Ilinden Macedonia", but is related to Krushevo. It has not been revealed to the public yet.
Could it be "Krushevo Macedonia" ?Comment

"Најнапред, нужно е да се вратиме на 2008 година. По Самитот на НАТО во Букурешт, стана јасно дека Грција има едногласна поддршка од НАТО сојузниците за нејзиниот предлог за преименување на нашата држава во Северна/Горна/Вардарска/Нова Македонија за сите намени (erga omnes), како основа за разумен компромис на спорот за името. Тоа пак резултираше со нарушување на балансот во преговорите воспоставен со Привремената спогодба. Затоа, од тој момент натаму, преговорите можат да завршат со договор единствено ако се прифати грчкиот предлог, а сé друго значи одбивање и отсуство на договор. Притоа, сеедно е дали одбивањето е целосно или делумно. Во договорните односи, или имате договор или немате. За волја на вистината, сојузниците беа убедени дека го заштитиле и интересот на нашата држава, со тоа што издејствувале од Грција да понуди преименување во Северна/Горна/Вардарска/Нова Македонија. И во тој поглед беа јасни дека нема да ѝ дозволат на Грција да отстапи од таквата понуда.
Нашата Влада пред и по Букурешт 2008 година го одби грчкиот предлог, преку реафирмирање на стариот предлог од времето на Глигоров и Малески, за благо модифицирање на името на нашата држава во меѓународните односи во „Република Македонија (Скопје)“. Неодамнешниот предлог за преименување во „Илинденска Македонија“ е во крајна инстанца, исто такво одбивање на грчкиот предлог од Букурешт 2008 година, за кој во Грција е постигнат консензус во 2007 година. Сосема логично, предлогот за Илинденска Македонија доби негативна реакција во Грција (и ако било договорено со грчкиот министер за надворешни работи, а и премиерот Ципрас дал начелна согласност). Looks like the name dispute is finally over...
The foreign ministers of Greece and Macedonia say they have concluded the main round of negotiations to end a long-standing dispute over the Macedonia name, with the final stage of talks to be led by the countries’ prime ministers.
