Of course Ireland is in Eu(member),they say NO on referendum for European constitution,which they dont like!

I think we differ on how to define the E.U.

I would take rejecting the E.U Constitution, to be the same thing as rejecting the E.U.

I know they are a part of the E.U economically, but not politically, and that is how I meant it.

I could of course be completely wrong about this. I don't know the significance of rejecting the E.U Constitution, but if it has done anything it has clearly put the breaks on Irelands E.U integration.

That is a stunning picture of a Spartan mountain, thanks for that Spartan Are you aware that the area (Taygetus) was a hub for Slavonic tribes that invaded the Peloponnese in the middle ages?

Actually that's not correct. On the international stage Great Britain is recognized as the "United Kingdom". Initially they applied to be recognized as "Great Britain", but France raised objections that Great Britain will be confused with the French region of Bretagne which is directly across the UK, so the English changed their name.

Please show me an article and/or other information with regard to this French objection against the 'British' name, I would be quite interested to see it.

Demos, one more thing, did the Germans protest against the French when the latter applied for EU status, given that the name of the French comes from the Franks, a Germanic people who who did not speak a Latin language like the modern 'Franks' (French)?

Oh no you got it all wrong. I am probably the least angry person, I love my life, I love the world, I pretty much love everything around me, one thing that I take true plessure in disliking is Greeks and well you guys are the lucky ones to be on the receiving ends.
I am not angry, I just don't really like Greeks- I really thought that is kinda obvious

Theres even a town or 2 with slavic sounding names around the city
