Ok we'll take it one step at a time................


It is painfully obvious which country this song is associated with, anyone trying to claim it is anything other than Macedonian opens themselves to ridicule...to say the least! Perceptions are flexible and constantly changing based on new information, once this song is claimed and affirmed as our flagship song it will create the perception that it is Macedonian and always has been.....thus turning reality into perception and perception reflecting truth.


Bulgarians calling the song Bulgarian Folklore open themselves up to ridicule and questionable credibility, at the very least, which in turn helps our cause...the more they try and claim it the greater fools they look..which I quite enjoy!


I would have thought the song needs to be Macedonian, about Macedonians and sung in Macedonian, without reference to other entities and hasn't been pirated by being released in other languages and claimed by other entities as theirs!......hence the strength of the argument for Makedonsko Devoiche, which now stands clearly head and shoulders above any other suggestions IMHO.

Okay, then that's your view and what I stated probably has little to no impact on deciding a flagship tune. But IMHO it was something worth considering.

And while I agree with you mostly, I don't think the song needs to necessarily about Macedonians, for example, if it's an oro.

I'm still confused about how Victor can like the Badinter Principle but supposedly not like the other provisions of the FA, when the sole purpose of the Badinter Principle is to protect those other provisions!? I'm sure he's just as confused.

I like it but if I really try to stand back and be impartial about it, I could imagine it being used in a Borat movie as he visits a gypsy commune.
