New MTO Facebook Page

Governments are becoming increasingly controlled by corporations due to the fact that high ranking corporate citizens have the power and wealth to run for office and win, or inject funds into candidates.

Australia is being raped as we speak, with the vast majority of wealth going to the big mining companies, Rudd wanted to tax then and he was thrown out... In 50 years time Australia would have lost its real mineral wealth and be left with big holes in the ground.

The MTO facebook page has 21 'likes' which is useless and ineffective.

I suggest creating a MTO person that can add friends. This way MTO can engage with up to 5000 people and groups and spread its message. Right now is non existent...

Pages get more likes then groups generally so the outcome with creating a group will only be worse. Keep with the page, post it around on other pages and groups asking people to join and then the numbers will grow.

I agree with Daniel. A closed group will be exactly like the original MTO facebook group. The message should be there for all to see, not just people who have been invited to the group. There is no point in a closed group as most of the members would already be familiar with the MTO, the key is to spread the word.

Give it time, the page has already gone from 7 to 27 likes. I know that doesn't seem like a big jump, but it's not too bad. Just keep advertising the page and it will be successful.

Not to mention, a closed facebook group usually entails more discussion, which will detract from the forums. It should mostly act as a mouthpiece for the MTO to preach to the wider community.

I was thinking of an open group. Its only closed now because I'm still playing with it. But lets stick with the page and see how we go.
