Lies Lies Lies. Are Macedonians so simpleminded that anyone would believe the argument in Makedonces post…I’m not shooting the messenger I know Makedonce you are just informing us of what some people may think and it is scary…they are stupid or are traitors trying to lead the less educated astray…that just because some people identifying as Macedonians anywhere in the world did not get a vote that a name change will not pass. The simple answer they will give is if you were so interested in casting your vote you would have made an effort to register yourself as eligible to vote.

Do you remember the earlier attempts by the government to encourage Macedonians to register so much so that they sent teams out in the diaspora. Does anyone think the un or eu or anyone is going to accept the excuse no one came knocking on your door to personally ask you or do they think that if a referendum was to be held any who just says they are a Macedonian will be allowed to show up and vote.

Quite frankly I am gob-smacked at the naivety and stupidity of people with this kind of mentality.

Do you think this mindset is representative of the majority in Macedonia presently?

If we are hardliners because we believe our identity is sacred, what does the above scenario make these people?
Most Macedonians don't understand what is happening. They have no idea of the debilating terms of the Interim Accord or the Framework Agreement, and it wouldn't be easy for them to see what is happening now as just a continuation of 1913, or as an attempt to exterminate our political existence. I don't think they would understand this much - they know that the Greeks invaded, and took our land, and that we suffered terribly, but that is probably about it. Most of them havn't been confronted in print with Greek lies, I mean in black and white outrageous fabrications, or it might be the case that they feel as though they are in a position to do nothing about it. We can without a doubt accuse UMD to some extent of fostering a belief among Macedonians that we have no choice, and have to compromise, but what I object to is UMD propaganda that we are 'hardliners' because clearly we are not, if all we are asking for are our rights, justice and recognition. I think that has to stop.

It's just sheer stupidity on those that are meant to govern us as they contemplate in changing our name without even consulting how absurd it is,Somewhere along the line things have gone out of hand & people don't know what the left hand is doing from the right.

Come to think of it, what specific political views must one have to be a 'hardliner'? When I think of extremism, I think of racism, terrorism and those working against democracy and natural rights. Yet the UMD would have you believe that those working FOR democratic governance and natural rights are 'extremists'.

UMD has shown itself to be unelected, unrepresentative and anti-natural rights (human rights). What basket does this place UMD in?
If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

The Revolution was in the minds and hearts of the people; a change in their religious sentiments, of their duties and obligations...This radical change in the principles, opinions, sentiments, and affections of the people was the real American Revolution. John Adams

              That's the question. Don't know.
