Onur, It seems like the Americans are not so good at geography, for a professional basketball player who is worth tens of millions of dollars surly he would know that Turkey is country not a city.

As for the final, i thought Ersan Ilyasova should have played better i thought Turkey gave far too much respect to USA. Its no shame in loosing to them but i dont think they are an unbeatable side.

Turkey didn't play well but Kevin Durant was unstoppable tough. He was shooting 3s from like middle of the court, nonstop!!!

I didn't expect to win vs. USA but we could play better and the game could be as exciting as the Serbia match. And yes, Ilyasova sucked again. It was only Hedo Turkoglu who were keeping us in the game.


Btw LOL at the guy in the video but you know, geography is like a sin for the Americans. I saw lots of videos in youtube about the Americans who doesn't even know where is Paris

Onur, There are two things you dont do against the Dream Team, let them shoot and play a Run n Gun game with them because they'll win every time. I didnt see any good defense in this tournament that was the biggest problem, USA is definitely beatable and i think Turkey can beat them however you have to break them down and dont give them anything on offense. USA got alot of offensive boards which helped them alot, either way 2nd place is not so bad for Turkey they exceeded all expectation i just thought they could have played better in the final as its never good to loose a final on home court.

Hmm, i didn't see this b4. It looks like he was stepping on the line but whats considered as out in basketball? Stepping on the line or outside the line?

Onur, You cant step on the line, the ball can be out of play and you can be in the air to pass it into play but if you touch the line its out of bounds.

Onur, Turkey is now ranked 6th in the world, while Italy who hasnt qualified in the last 2 tournaments is ranked 7th and Serbia is 8th yet they finished 4th in the tournament. It makes no sense at all.

Macedonia went up 2 places and we are ranked 47th.

They took more than that. 12 players and the coach Tanjevic rewarded with 28 million Turkish Lira, it`s about 20 million dollars for all 13 of them. Each player also took golden bars(yes, it`s altani, altin ) and then a businessman gave summer resort villas to each of them.

I think it`s kinda overstated . Some people in the newspapers protested a bit and said like "are we going to give this huge amount of money to every sportsmen from now on?"
