With the team we have I can't have any positive expectations of them.

Bratot, We've always had imports do you recall Slobodan Slivencanin and Kenyon Jones? Vlatko Ilievski is injured so we need play makers.
As for us not being as good as before you could say that against any side from the former YU, Serbia,Croatia and Bosnia are not as good as they used to be Slovenia isnt either.
The only world class players we had was Pece Naumoski and Vrba Stefanov who played well together and to some extent Dejan Jovanovski who was a good off guard. Bratot, Tell me what you know about Basketball? Im not teaching you at all im just stating that we wernt that good to begin with. We had a solid team but we lacked alot of talent to rank up there with the best in Europe.

I played 4 years in Macedonian second basketball league and basketball is my personal interest even now when I quit playing proffesionally.

Bratot, I actually enjoy reading your posts, dont look at it as an argument we are simply having a discussion nothing more and im very pleased that you like basketball it seems that we do have something in common afterall.
There is no doubt that during the SFRJ era Rabotnicki was our best team, MZT was ok to some extent then the 90s the MZT-Rabotnicki derby games were very good, i been to many derby games.

Robotnicki was better in our national league but MZT was far far more succefull in Europe, at their best with basically the lowest budget in Europe and the smallest and most ruined arena they have beat teams like Real Madrid, Benfika, Beneton who were the best teams in Europe that time with players from the rang of Bodiroga and later NBA transfers.

Well i believe Macedonia will do well, i watched the last eurobasket (i think it was in poland) and we were good.

The FIBA rankings for this group indicate that these teams are evenly matched.
