no, i think they are just lucky to live in oily places. As the most conservative and modest islamic population in the world, it goes against their fundamental belief system to chase material goods, making them not well suited for business. Places like Dubai are trying to change that (you can tell by their flamboyant developments), but boy will there be teething problems in the way their actual society operates.
