Thats an interesting point you bring up SOM and this is why the Serbian Authorities should be aware of this and i think they are. If they cant cotrol three small regions like Presevo,Medvedza and Bujanovac then how do they expect to control Kosovo? It is probably better to distance ourselves as much as possible from the Serbs. On the other hand it wouldn't hurt us to share intelligence with them.
I have never been convinced that the U.S is a neutral party in the region. All the evidence suggests they are with the Albanians. I want to see more Macedonians move into areas dominated by Macedonians in Western Macedonia, because countries like the U>S especially their top intelligence advisor look at the demographics of the region and see only Albanians. That has to change.Comment

Pelister, We dont have much choice here when we have Ethnic Albanian Terrorists from their soil comming to our country to commit crimes i think they should be informed and clamp down on these people. They are entering the country as Serbian Citizens in reality so they do have to get their act together.

We should share more intelligence with the Serbs to make sure we get them. I think your spot on when you say that intelligence is the key here. I hope the Mks have their act together. So far so good. SOM, How do we seal our borders with Kosovo and Serbia? The leadership in Kosovo is incompetent and probably in bed with these extremists and criminals, so I think the discussing logistical and tactical issues with them should be out of the question. The Serbs appear to not want to rock the boat. Macedonia should continue as it has been doing, and if anything, step up the pace and expose the actions and dealings of these extremists and criminals before they are able to gain proper momentum. In 2001 the Balkan state narrowly averted all-out civil war after seven months of fighting between Macedonian government forces and ethnic Albanian rebels, many from neighbouring Kosovo.
Gangs of armed and uniformed Albanian rebels appeared yesterday in a suburb of Skopje and a number of villages, a worrying precursor to potential violence.
Kidnap threat to Macedonia's frail peace
ABOUT 100 Macedonians were kidnapped by ethnic Albanian fighters yesterday as the country's fragile peace process threatened to unravel.
The abductions followed the shooting dead of three Macedonian policemen on Sunday when rebels attacked a checkpoint outside Tetovo with rockets and grenades.
The hostages included about 60 civilians from the village of Semsevo and about 40 from villages around Tetovo. Police and Nato's special envoy to Macedonia said that by late yesterday 39 had been released after the intervention of Nato, OSCE and EU liaison teams. They underwent medical checks but none had been maltreated.
The incidents threaten to collapse the peace deal Western mediators have been inching the two sides towards for months.
Although the Albanian National Liberation Army handed over more than 3,000 weapons to Nato troops in September, and officially agreed to disband in return for greater political recognition for the country's 600,000-strong Albanian minority, international officials fear that they gave up fewer than 20 per cent of their weapons.
Macedonia's parliament has dragged its feet for weeks over ratifying proposed changes to the country's constitution in favour of the Albanians, and a vote due yesterday was again postponed. "We're doing all we can to calm the situation and get the peace process back on track," an EU diplomat said.
