Phoenix, What are your thoughts about Ben Cousins?

Cousins is getting too old now...he hasn't got the luxury of playing in a strong side, where he can be protected from good taggers.

During his time at the Eagles he was blessed playing alongside Kerr, Judd and Cox, at Richmond the talent around him is far less impressive.

Sometimes the supporting players aren't given the credit they deserve, too much focus is on the superstar midfielders but their life is made so much easier when the players around them play their roles to perfection, by breaking tags and creating space for the midfielders to work unobstructed.

I wonder what sort of impact Gary Ablett jnr will have at a club like the Gold Coast for example, assuming they can't assemble a champion midfield/team in the near future...I guess that's part of the dilema facing Ablett, does he chase the money or lose the opportunity to play finals football or diminish his chances of winning Brownlows and the big media awards...

ok boys, i couldn't help but weigh in here. as a rugby league fan, AFL seems like an inferior man's game to me - no disrespect - that's the way it goes. however, i have been to a few swans games up here and enjoy the AFL as a live spectacle, so i'm in for the tipping comp. no doubt a novice AFL fan is best placed to actually win the comp?!

You will be amazed how true this is. i know many girls for an example that do well in these things, and they admit they know nothing about the sport. They go for colours or good looking players, so most of the time, they do better than us so called experts that live and eat the game.
