A great stripped back version of a Ramones classic by Aussie band 'Faker'...

As you can see from your clip, Corgan's also a Fender man like Riste, by the way have you gotten any closer to making a purchase? (thread has sort of taken another direction)
Yeah, I like the Tikvi and I agree that Siamese Dream was their best body of work but they've got an interesting story, albeit a familar one that has ended in tragedy like so many other promising talents...There was a good interview with Billy Corgan in the Feb issue of Mojo

Going on from Tomche's post a few pages back, as much of a nut Ozzy Osbourne is, he does have some quality songs.

Ozzy Osbourne - Crazy Train with lyrics - YouTube

Probably one of his best.

I never forget seeing David Lee Roth (solo) with Steve Vai. The highlight of the night was Vai hitting a harmonic note, peeling off his guitar and throwing it about 8 feet in the air. The harmonic is still ringing and he catches the guitar and heads into yet another soul crushing solo! Entertainment!

There was a reason why Frank Zappa called Vai his "stunt guitarist" on his albums.

The Black Crowes.
This band absolutely rocked me for a few years.

I saw them live and it was one of the very few times I partook in the magic herb. It was a phenomenal concert. This song played and just before 4:51 of the video all the lights cut out, then a huge flash ... all lights on ... and someone stage dived at precisely the same moment as the 2 guitars came together for an Allman Brothers moment. It was poetry ... or drug induced hysteria. Either way, I am a sucker for this kind of rock. Don't even get me started on Lynyrd Skynyrd!

Default Tommy Bolin

Tommy Bolin was the guitarist for Deep Purple for a while. He did some solo work ... then promptly overdosed in a sadly 70's kind of way.

Phil Collins is playing the drums on this one back when he was totally cool.

Tommy was a brilliant guitar player in an orchestral kind of way. This song always touches me. If you hear his demo version of this song it sounds like he is crying to his father at the end of the song looking for some kind of redemption ... he was the real deal and died way too young.

PEOPLE PEOPLE BY TOMMY BOLIN - YouTube

Actually, here is the demo version. Out of tune sometimes but I just love it:

Father, Father.
Where have you been?
You helped me grow up without sin.
But now I'm ashamed, as you've been.
Lets not forget
Where we begin

"Getting Tighter" by Deep Purple in Come Taste the Band shows his guitar playing calibre admirably. Tommy almost single handedly brought a funky edge to metal in the early 70's.

"Wild Dogs" is one of his solo tunes that I forced my sons to listen to in order to ingest musical coolness!

Some more head banging to follow, arguably the best hard rock song of all time according to the Rolling Stone magazine (and myself):

Another rock god that left this world last year - Ronnie James Dio,best known for his performances as the lead singer of cult bands like Black Sabbath and Rainbow, also had a successful solo career with hits like "Rainbow in the dark" and especially "Holy Diver".The riff at 0:48 - 1:08 kicks ass!(Very low budget video BTW,I think it shows)
