Milososki said he hoped that parliamentary cooperation between the countries would be enhanced with the election of a deputy from Australia to represent the interests of the diaspora in Macedonia's Parliament.
I thought Milososki was out of the scene or on his way out? But more importantly, how will this 'deputy' represent the interests of the diaspora?

Where is our Australia representative to make an official statement on the recent amnesty law that will allow the terrorists to get a free pass after murdering our people? As far as I am concerned, if you are a part of Gruevski's government, then you support his policies. And how can groups in Australia get in touch with him?

Time will tell, but from what I've heard among other activists, we shouldn't hold our breath.

I won't hold my breath, but it would be a pleasant suprise and something which could inspire others in Macedonia.
I'm not entirely familiar with parliamentary procedure in Macedonia, but there are many ways the ruling party can silence the opposition and in particular independents in parliament. His best bet would to speak out in the media and rattle some feathers.

Now that he has been elected, I don't think there's much Gruevski can do until the next election. But that does not mean he has any influence. I think its still possible for him to become an independent, but again, there would not be any real benefit other than to symbolically raise issues in parliament.

None. How would he? He's just some random guy from Australia who has no friends and no connections and I doubt anyone takes him seriously. He's just there to fill a seat and keep Gruevski in power.

Is the diaspora candidate for Australia going to be making any statements and updating the people he is supposed to represent relative to government policies? How exactly is he going to represent the diaspora? What is his response to the below, which was agreed to by the party that he joined:

http://www.eurasiareview.com/macedonia-soothes-albanians-over-hague-cases-14072011/ I guess if we follow UMD's example, we should be positive about this news and encourage Macedonia to continue to strive to improve relations all over the world etc etc. But I guess I would like to say DPmNE are a bunch of stupid maggots

VMRO-DPMNE reportedly agreed to dump plans to re-examine four war crimes cases that the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia, ICTY, had returned to Macedonia in 2008...............

Party sources say the two winning parties have agreed that families of former Albanian insurgents who were injured or killed during the 2001 conflict will receive state pensions........
