That he's a traitorous idiot is beyond doubt. But as far as being cuckolded, that is done by his own volition, not stupidity. To hell with the country (in his mind), he would let every politician from Sofia to Tirana run a train through him if it turned on the EU money tap sooner. The only thing holding him back from taking his treachery to the next phase is a lingering concern about public opinion in Macedonia. Were it up to him alone, he would've already placated the Bulgars beyond the concessions that have been made up until now. He may yet decide to go it alone and deal with the fallout, because it's not like Macedonia actually has a genuine opposition party. If he does go down that avenue, Mickoski's DPNE will complain, for a little while, then play the "patriot" card in an attempt to win the next election. They will then absolve themselves of any responsibility and accept the predicament, just like they did with the betrayal to Greece. After all, they will be one step closer to the EU, which, as the collective objective of both DPNE and SDS, is infinitely more important than anything concerning the integrity of Macedonia.In the name of the blood and the sun, the dagger and the gun, Christ protect this soldier, a lion and a Macedonian.Comment
