    You know the rules Demos.
You write here in the dominant language of civilisation now ... it is called English.

Just like the land titles in Greece used to be drawn up in French back in the day ... English dominates the world now. Are you really that mentally spasticated to comprehend that written languages were not abundant 2000 years ago? You still cannot grasp EVERY document that mocks the "apparent" connection Alexander and Philip had with the Hellenes. That EVERY history book describes them as two races. That EVERY history book identifies the Macedonians as foreign in culture and customs to the "civilised" (thieving) Hellenes. Do your eyes glaze over when you read these things sunshine? Do you want me to post some of these up? Will you then reply with the attempts Alexander made to be considered part of the "in-crowd". A bit like that goof-ball from Pakistan when Cheney said he was a crazy bastard but one of our crazy bastards? The Iranians have more connection to Alexander than the Hellenes. He dropped the Hellenes like they were hot by the time he was tapping Roxanne! Spare me with your simplicity.

I describe Macedonians as a collective grouping of people who have endured Hellenistic, Roman, Ottoman and Slavic influences/oppression over the last 2500 years. How do you define Greeks in response? What tales of glory will you recount. Your perspective is unrealistic. Mine is entrenched in reality. And you want to quote inscriptions from 2300 years ago. Are you fucking normal? Is that it? C'mon, give me more you snivelling Greek apologist.

    Risto,

If you ever see "Sasha Veliki" inscription unearthed anywhere at Heraklea or even "Aleksandar" call me...until then "mour mou" as we say in Greece...

The Macedonian Saints indeed taught them how to write. But what were the people doing prior to those 300 years? Were they somehow more enlightened? If they were, they must have been so enlightened that they got the shit kicked out of them. And indeed who was it that got the shit kicked out of them if we are to believe your history books .... the Romans of course. Why do you have such an uncomplicated and simplistic view of history? Is it convenient? Is this why you cannot face up to simple truths about the lives of the ancients?

Correct me if I am wrong.
    (In other words don't)
But slaves in what is now Southern Greece used to write texts and assisted in all manners of education. They were not Hellenes, they were not even allowed to take part in the glorious democracy for the privileged few. People like you can even get an education nowadays so it would appear anything has always been possible.

But one day, Sasha Veliki woke up and said "Screw it...I'm not going to speak my language anymore. I'm going to only speak Greek. I'm going to force my entire "nation" to speak Greek. I'm going to force everyone in Macedonia to write only in Greek. In fact, if I take over the world, I won't spread my language. I'm going to spread the language of another race of men."

It all makes sense to me know...Sasha Veliki is brilliant.

Do you believe that Slavs migrated into Macedonia in the 6th century?
Why don't we see Slavic texts for yet another 300 years?
Deal with the question and let me know.

When you can't answer ... then please feel free to take a moment to think about the chance of another language existing prior to the 300 years of known Slavic domination (yet known lack of written language).

It is most likely like this, the upper classes spoke some form of "Greek" in addition to their Macedonian language, the lower classes spoke only Macedonian.

Move forward in time 'till we reach the 19th century and we find the same exact thing, towns people thus merchants spoke Greek in addtition to their Macedonian but their peasant neighbors spoke only Macedonian.
