    Articles about ancient Macedonia

While I searched across the open threads in MTO, I saw that there was somehow an absence of articles regarding Macedonia of antiquity. Most of members chose to pick up only extracts and have not post all article or any link.

It would be better to accumulate here all available articles from digital libraries, JSTOR, etc, instead.

One of such articles that deserve to be fully posted if it is possible is 'Philip II and Upper Macedonia' of A.Bosworth.

As far as I know, Bosworth crashed Hammond's blatant myth of "Greekness" of Upper Macedonia:

"The evidence for this hypothesis is decidedly tenuous. Nearly two centuries before Alexander Hecataeus may have described the Orestians as a Molossian tribe, but, as far as I can ascertain, there is no evidence for the language of any or all of the Upper Macedonian people before the time of Alexander, and nothing to suggest that the hypaspists were anything other than linguistically homogeneous." "Alexander's invitation to speak (Curt. 6. 9. 34) presupposes that the entire army spoke Macedonian." "Alexander's challenge presupposes that all the army would understand an address in Macedonian." "He used Macedonian because the troops would instantly understand and (he expected) would react immediately. There is no need for more complicated explanation."
Unfortunately, even this article of Bosworth isn't presented at all in:

I hope TrueMacedonian can find any way to post such a valuable article!
