    Because of the Macedonian Argead dynasty who started to use it as Royal symbol.


    Or at least, they think that this dynasty started to use the symbol initially.

    I have a question, why was the sonceto od Kutles called the star of Agread? What is it mean? Is it Greek or maybe even anicent MAcedonian?
