I forgot his name now that he wont be playing for Serbia anytime soon we should get him now we need midfielders.

Serbia is in a major crisis loosing 3-1 at home to Estonia.
His name is Aleksandar Ignjovski. He is only 19 and has been linked with big clubs such as Fiorentina, Napoli, and Schalke 04 this past summer. He was born in Serbia and he seems to have his heart on playing for them so it will be tough to get him to change his mind.

We lost to Russia 1:0. The first half was very poor and we conceded a goal in the 8th minute after we lost concentration at the back.

We were better in the 2nd half and were awarded a penalty in the 72nd minute but Ilco Naumoski's penalty was saved by the Russian keeper. Stevica Ristic also hit the post with a header from a corner kick.

Makalek, Russia were not that good, Mario Gjurovski should have taken the penalty.

We did very well in the second half but once we missed the penalty, our morale dropped off. Russia wernt much better either

We didn't play too badly, particularly given our form against Andorra. I just can't believe we missed that penalty.

Andorra are ranked like 160th in the world they are amateurs with slatkari and pozarnikari playing for them. I thought we did very well in the second half, the first half we couldnt get to them. The Russians had a complete squad with Pavlushenko the only one who didnt play but i was very happy in the second half, we could have played a bit better once we missed the penalty but still the Russians didnt do anything to us in the second half. They must be very happy picking up 6 points on the road, hopefully we'll do alot better once Pandev and Popov come back into the side.

We should apply North Korean methods on our players.

Prolet, it is a disgrace of football all this hooliganism, don't you think? The match was suspended and the hooligans burned the Albanian flag, as well. I heard somewhere that the episodes continued also outside the sports-field.

JohnMKD, Its not good but it happens all the time especially in the balkans, it doesnt surprise me because in Italy their derby games are very fierce. Im surprised so many Serbian fans went after they lost 3-1 at home to Estonia.

Macedonian Fans, Players Give Up in Loss to Russia
                          Tuesday, 12 October 2010

Russia moved to the top of their Euro qualifying group with a hard-fought win in Skopje – but it took a penalty save from Igor Akinfeyev to secure a 1-0 success over Macedonia.

Despite dominating the first half, Russia were left clinging on in the closing stages as Macedonia scented an upset after raising their game after the break.

And Akinfeyev was the hero on 72 minutes when he got down smartly to block Ilco Naumovski’s dreadful spot kick which looked more as a pass than a shot at goal.

Despite the extremely cheap ticket prices (2-5 euros) the Phillip II Arena was more empty with vast areas of both North and South stands being unfilled. The fans had given up it seems on the Macedonian national team, and after today's loss, it will be a wonder if anyone shows up on the next qualifying matches.

Jonuz's coaching job with the Macedonian national team is up in the air.

                          Pandev - Media fiasco

The Macedonian media had unlished an attack on the Inter forward falsely accusing him that he was quitting the national team. But Pandev is no quitter, and his honest talk caused an avalanche not just in the media, but where all the problems come from, the Football Federation.

                          What did he say?

Pandev had become increasingly vocal about the sad state Macedonian football is in... "They don't need me to play so we could place last" says Pandev. And he is right. You can field an all ladies team and place last. Pandev would go on to say: "This is how good we are. An average Armenian team schooled us in Skopje, they ran, they had a game plan, they had a concept. Have you seen our League? It's not a league, it's a joke, so our players are no good, of course they are not. Look at our League!" says Pandev.

The story of Pandev quitting the national team was circulated and spread to the media by the FFM. MINA ignored the 'news' of Pandev quitting the team because we knew they were false and also where it came from. The FFM is on an anti Pandev wave because he doesn't agree with the way they run Macedonian football which as you can see is more disastrous than ever. //Pero Stamatovski

More than a dozen Serbian fans have been arrested following scuffles with Italian carabinieri after the abandonment of an Italy Euro qualifier match against Serbia due to fan violence.

Saso Ognenovski nominated for this year's Asian Football Confederation Player of the Year Award. Great achievement by the former Preston Makedonia Player.

Tim And Sasa Up For AFC Award

EVERTON'S Tim Cahill is one of two Australians nominated for this year's Asian Football Confederation Player of the Year Award along with Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma's Sasa Ognenovski

Other big names in the field of 15 vying for the award will be CSKA Moscow's Japanese playmaker Keisuke Honda and Manchester United's South Korean midfielder Park Ji-sung.

Honda and Park were instrumental in their respective national squad's progress to the knockout phase of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, while Cahill also impressed in his side's South African campaign.

Centreback Ognenovski has so far controversially missed out on an Australian cap but is tipped to be included in the next Socceroos squad ahead of the Asian Cup in January..

The award will be presented at the AFC Annual Awards gala in Kuala Lumpur on November 24.

Iran and Esteghlal striker Farhad Majidi, Zob Ahan defender Farshid Talebi, Al Qadsia and Kuwait ace Bader Al Mutawa and Al Karamah's Jordanian import Hasan Abdel Fattah are also in contention for the award.

This initial nominee list of 15 will be revised in the coming weeks but one stumbling block for organisers could be the fact one of the criteria for winning the award is confirmation of the nominees' attendance at the presentation ceremony.

7 Countries Form "Balkan Handball Super League"

Slovenia and Bosnia with three, Macedonia, Hungary, Serbia, Croatia and Montenegro with two clubs each will join the newly formed Super Handball League.

The deal was struck in Belgrade earlier today which will see the new league of 16 teams compete for lots of cash and prestige.

The league is set to start in August of 2011. The traditionally weak handball nations of Greece and Bulgaria were not invited to take part in this league
