    Macedonian Community and Cancer

    Currently I am in training to be a Peer Support Volunteer for Cancer patients. So far it has been a privilege to met some amazing people and getting to hear some inspiring stories. The human mind is so powerful, so long as it still functions hope means the world til the last breath.

    I tend to one day educate our community to let go of the taboo subject, be informed with an open mind and heart.
    Can I ask for any ideas for a support group name??

    I commend your efforts highly....may I suggest Australian-Macedonian Cancer Support Group? Try to make it national eventually.
    On Delchev's sarcophagus you can read the following inscription: "We swear the future generations to bury these sacred bones in the capital of Independent Macedonia. August 1923 Illinden"

          That would be a great start RTG,

          I understand this idea is difficult as any group needs funds at some stage. I still need to have a crack at the Macedonian community.

          There are no macedonian cancer resources at this centre I'm doing my training at?
