    Balkans.com Business News Correspondent - 15.05.2013
The Minister of Defence of FYR Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi, who is in Albania heading a senior delegation, paid an official visit to Albania's Ministry of Defence. After the ceremonial welcome, with the Guard of Honour and Wind Orchestra of the Armed Forces, by Defence Minister, Mr. Arben Imami, Minister Xhaferi left notes in the book of impressions of the Ministry of Defence. Onward, Defence Minister Imami met and held talks with his counterpart, Defence Minister Xhaferi and the delegation he leads. Later, both defence ministers held a press conference. Minister Imami in his speech emphasised that, it was a great pleasure to welcome here today in the Ministry of Defence, the Defence Minister of FYR Macedonia, Mr. Xhaferi, who was appointed to this office some time ago and one of his first visits is made to Albania. Source; GovernmentAlbania's Minister Imami: Albania has a firm stance that, FYR Macedonia must be a member of NATO. The name issue, which has been the only obstacle for FYR Macedonia, will find a solution as soon as possible. Of course we also assessed FYR Macedonia’s contributions to ISAF operations in Afghanistan and contributions it will continue to provide even after 2014.FYR Macedonia's Minister Xhaferi: We thank the Ministry of Defence and Defence Academy of Albania for the assistance they have given to the training of our officers and cadets from 2006 until 2010, here in Tirana and I can inform you that the lessons learned here are of high level and practicing of those lessons is compatible with our needs in FYR Macedonia.

If there ever is a civil war with the savages in the western region, we will be toast because not only do the shiptars in macedonia know our tactics and army, the shiptars in albania would be well aware as well.

And LOL at the minister of defense referring to macedonia as FYR Macedonia

As much as the whole shiptar thing in Macedonia disgusts me, I question the accuracy of the comment attributed to the terrorist and ARM deserter, xhaferi...I noticed that the author of the article went out of his way to use the prefix 'FYR'...I wonder if in keeping with his aroused state when using FYR that the author also attributed it (FYR) to whatever 'quote' the shiptar did make to his Albanian hosts...

As for the 'training' of military officers by the Albanians, I'm sure this was part of the Partnership for Peace program that grouped together the Albanians, Croats and Macedonians on their road to NATO membership...I suspect that there would have been (and still exist) some arrangements for training exchanges.

yeah the training is nothing new.In the scheme of things they are all token gestures.Xaferri if he says something he must know that he would be on notice but he will probably getting away with it FYR is just a derogorary statement, what do you expect from shiptars.Fyrom macedonians would probably not notice this name disrespect as they have accepted that reference.
