A Name is a Name/ Help me expose Macedonian Truth in the US

Hello, this is my first post. Has anyone seen the documentary, a Name is a Name, on Macedonia? I downloaded it and it seems very interesting, but it has a weird style - there is English narration and Macedonian subtitles during the English parts, but no English subtitles during the Macedonian language sections.

I don't understand Macedonian (Polish), but I would love to learn more about Macedonia and this documentary seems like a good starting point.
If anyone knows how to get subtitles in English for this documentary let me know.

From what I've read of this forum it's all about promoting Macedonia being referred to as Macedonia instead of FYROM. I run a university Slavic organization in Philadelphia and I could expose dozens of people to this topic - so please post any relevant movies, documentaries, videos, etc. Also if anyone knows of any Macedonian(s) on the East Coast who could elaborate on this issue in a public forum (i.e guest speaking at a university) - send me the contact information for these people.

    Thanks!

    Hi Noce,
    welcome to the forum.

It was squarely aimed at the Macedonians in the Diaspora and from memory was a relatively lightweight documentary about the naming of Macedonians.

Feel free to ask pertinent questions on this thread and we will provide a perspective that may be of interest to you.

Macedonian is not (Polish), what do you mean when you say Polish?
Стравот на Атина од овој Македонец одел до таму што го нарекле „Страшниот Чакаларов“ „гркоубиец“ и „крвожеден комитаџија“.

I'd say the new user understands Polish, not Macedonian.

You want Macedonia? Come and take it from my blood!

A prosperous, independent and free Macedonia for Macedonians will be the ultimate revenge to our enemies.

          No love for Polish-Macedonian relations?

To the point however - if this documentary is lightweight, which is a good documentary/video to educate myself and others on the issue? As I stated above, I am looking to share this information through a Slavic organization. I have a vague idea of the history of Macedonia and its problems through a Macedonian friend and research I've done on the topic.
