The minute you are perceived to be trying to educate them, they shut down faster than a drug deal in a police station.

They have to want it for themselves.

If anything, foreign occupation of Macedonia for prolonged periods of time has led to a slave mentality amongst the population. Now that they have an 'independent' state perhaps they see that as a blessing in itself, thus fail to realise that their sovereignty is diminishing every passing day.

In some recent Latin American revolutions there was no foreign occupation (in a strict sense). The people lived in an independent nation, but the people didn't own the nation. The notion that 1% own 95%+ land forms the basis of such a revolution. If today's Macedonians learnt a thing or two from these rebellions, then maybe they would realise that they no longer own Macedonia. The government is undermining their own people, and until a stance is taken, they will continue to appease those who demand; namely the Albanians, Greeks, etc.
Which South American revolution(s) are you referring to specifically? You sound like you're referring to some socialist revolutions such as the one in Cuba. Well, Cuba is under the control of a totalitarian regime. What could Macedonians possibly learn from that?

Macedonians already had a socialist revolution in 1944-45. It was a complete disaster. That is not even considering the aspect of foreign occupation by Yugoslavia/Serbia.

You missed some of the key points Chiche.

Chiche, you sound like those people who think every idea is equally valid. I hope you're not.

Not all ideas are equal, some are plainly wrong and stupid. For example, the idea that the Interim Accord is anti-Macedonian versus the opposing idea that it is not anti-Macedonian. Both cannot be right and good. One has to be wrong and bad. How do we know which is which? We compare them to fundamental truths, such as the fact that Macedonians have a right to determine their own identity, and that the Interim Accord denies us this right.

Having done that, we know that the Interim Accord is anti-Macedonian, but what of the people who keep on insisting that it is not? After 20 years of attempting to demonstrate that their view is wrong and bad, where do we go from here? I think some name calling, and much more, is warranted.

    Chiche
They would only be abusive if there was any truth to them! Otherwise who would give a shit about something that is clearly not true?
