What a find Risto! He's coming to 'straya in April next year.

This comment on the older video speaks volumes.

Pretty damn good blues . Its sad that we have these bizarre people at the top of the charts while truly talented people go without recognition .

This popped up on youtube for me not too long ago. Thought it was decent for a pop song. Skopski dialect?

A very deep dive indeed. Not much oxygen at that level I imagine ;-)

    (nevertheless, amusing and entertaining)

Beth Hart has blown me away with her vocal chops. She does some utterly brilliant Led Zep covers. But in this case, a classic blues song she now owns "I'd Rather Go Blind". Accompanied by Joe Bonamassa, they transcend me:

Another version here sees her with Jeff Beck singing the same song. Both versions are incredible and equally brilliant.

Thanks for the suggestion! I looked him up and listened to a few of his Macedonian folk dance songs. Very good indeed! Also, it was really interesting listening to traditional Macedonian music. Felt like having lots of Balkan elements but also a few eastern (like Greek and Turkish) components to it.

Also learned At Pazar is Horse Bazaar!

Which just reminds me, some Greeks say ati for horse. I should have made the connections earlier..!

Yeah, he's pretty good but not an ethnic Macedonian. He's a gypsy from Bitola's At Pazar where, along with the suburb of Bairo, many of Bitola's gypsies reside. I don't have any reason to doubt that he considers himself to be a Macedonian but the gypsies in Macedonia tend to align themselves with the majority ethnic group that they live amongst. In Bitola, that would be the Macedonians. In other places of Macedonia, it could be the Albanians and/or Turks. All that aside, Macedonian Wikipedia refers to him as a virtuoso who has won quite a number of musical awards.
I don't know much about music but I enjoy it as much as the next person. The example you gave is a bit too oriental sounding for my taste but, if you're a fan of the clarinet, then I recommend Tale Ognenovski, another virtuoso from Bitola. I'm a bit a biased, I have to admit, as Tale is actually from my very own village of Brusnik.

Introducing my son on this pretty chill track here. You will know when he is singing, he's the one that sounds good!

Keep an eye out for oPaul ... he is about to unleash his music on the world, and it will be worth it.

A pretty chill track I made with my lovely D18 acoustic and some electronic blips. The bonus is the delicate supporting vocals from a very new talent about to be unleashed on an unsuspecting world. In

Well, I summoned my inner rock god and failed. But I made a new rock guitar oriented tune here:

As always, noodling with the guitars and ended up making a song. I figured I may as well post a picture of some of my guitars here! Inspired by my own bestselling book about a man who became a Shaolin
