    Bellifortis

    Came across this by accident and thought i'd post. Has anyone heard about this before? Seems to be some sort of manual for military technology from the 1400's. One of the writers seemed to be obsessed with Alexander and his war technical abilities and inventions.

    I found a wikipedia entry about this;

    "Bellifortis ("Strong in War", "War Fortifications") is the first fully illustrated manual of military technology, dating from the start of the 15th century.[2] It summarises material from classical writers on military technology, like Vegetius' De Re Militari and Frontinus' anecdotal Strategemata, emphasising poliorcetics, or the art of siege warfare, but treating magic as a supplement to the military arts; it is "saturated with astrology," remarked Lynn White, Jr. in a review of the first facsimile edition"

    There's a pic of Alexander holding a rocket and another of something he supposedly invented.

    Anyone have any info?
    You want Macedonia? Come and take it from my blood!

    A prosperous, independent and free Macedonia for Macedonians will be the ultimate revenge to our enemies.
