that is really an amazing find.

US Went to the Moon with Yugoslavian Technology

          Wednesday, 11 January 2012

The world has always known the space race was between the Russians and the Americans. The Russians sent the first human in space, while the Americans sent the first man on the Moon.
There have been two theories about the Moon landing - many people dispute the fact the US sent a man to the moon, while another theory suggests the US did land on the moon, but created the hoax theory itself in order to keep secret the things they discovered on the Moon.

A Slovenian documentary named "Houston, we have a problem" states Yugoslavia had very advanced space program code-named "Object 505" which was located at a military underground base near Bihac. Object 505 was said to have been the largest space center in Europe.

After WW2, the Yugoslavian regime was neutral and refused to side with Russia (Warsaw Pact) or the US (NATO), therefore it created its own highly advanced weapons and space program. The relationships with both super powers were so strained, Yugoslavia ended up shooting down 4 US warplanes after they infiltrated the country's airspace between 1946-51, while the Russians tried to assassinate Tito 9 times.

Later, the Americans turned a page and accepted Yugoslavia as a 'neutral' partner, and it paid off in 1961 according to the documentary.
The father of the Yugoslavian space program was a brilliant rocket scientist named Herman Potocnik.
By the end of the 1950's, Yugoslavia had fully operational space program, capable of sending humans to the Moon and beyond. When CIA eventually got to this information, US representatives from the White House were already on their way to Belgrade, offering fortune to buy the space technology from Yugoslavia.

The irony here is that NASA's founder and first chief, high ranking German Official Wernher Von Braun (brought to the US via the famous "Paper Clip" operaiton) publicly admired Herman Potocnik, the founder of the Yugoslav Space Program.
The documentary claims the US would have never gone to the Moon if not for the Yugoslavian space program.
The space technology was sold in March 1961, while in May 1961 Kennedy announced the US will go to the Moon. The US space program at the time had virtually no success, with every rocket exploding at lift off.

The film claims the Saturn Rockets and Apollo Modules were designed and created in Yugoslavia. Tito also sent Yugoslavian rocket scientist to NASA to ensure the Americans' success.

Why would they not pursue the space program, and have the glory for themselves? Why sell it to America?
You want Macedonia? Come and take it from my blood!

A prosperous, independent and free Macedonia for Macedonians will be the ultimate revenge to our enemies.

Its just another BS hoax. A space program takes an advanced industrial base, advanced academia and scientists, lots of money, advanced IT systems and a whole lot more - nothing of which Yugoslavia ever had.

                    I think it is possible.
Yugoslavia was glorious and all powerful. Everyone prospered and was free in the truest sense. As long as they were Serbian or wanted to be. Maybe it wasn't that glorious or powerful.

I know a few people who think so. They long for that glory, power and prosperity.

I think it's a bunch of over-exaggerated crap. Yes, OVER-exaggerated. That means so insanely inconceivable that it's not even worth discussing. In fact, it's so unbelievable that in 3 days, the youtube documentary preview received 500,000 views, on ONE channel. That's like the most viewed video on youtube for 2011 - Rebecca Black - Friday. This is by far the worst song in history of music, but it was the most viewed.

I'm sure tito had some dream to have 'great glory for yugoslavia' in terms of a space program, but i'm sure that other than some underground warehouses where some stupid commies played cards there was not much in terms of 'intellectual marvel' happening.

It was probably a worker's 'self-managed' program as well
