UnitedMKD, where did you find that pic? That's not a real license plate as far as I'm concerned. It looks like just some plate that a guy made in a shop. There are many shops that I personally know of in Skopje that make custom license plates for cars/motorcycles, but they are not legitimate, like this one isn't. It's just some shiptar making a fool of himself. And as far as the newspapers are concerned, the custom part of the new license plates can only be used on the front of a car, while the back must be a real gov't issued license plate.

I agree, I don't think that is a legitimate plate. At least I hope not. Who knows what to expect from the Gruevski-Ahmeti federation these days.
The reason the plates were changed to add four digits in the middle was because Skopje only had enough license plate combinations to last until the end of December. The fourth digit allows for millions of new combinations which obviously will last for the next few centuries.
      That makes sense.
Adding the "MK" to the front is long overdue.
I'm suprised they didn't do it earlier.

The 4 letter code is still in Cyrillic.

My friend in Skopje posted it on his facebook.

I like the MK sticker at the front, but there should be a sonce on top of it. However, since in this case the ventilator would be used, let's give it some time until our Sonce is back.
