Niko, not only pensioners it's even young people. There was a guy that owned a bar in Lerin who was 32 at that time who spoke PERFECT Makedonski and he was a Majir born in Lerin.
Don't know what you're referring to but I was referring to the article which only mentions pensioners. And besides I don't think there are many opportunities at the moment for young people in Macedonia to make a descent living, so it's unlikely for more young people to move in.

I don't believe that this particular group of Greek citizens pose as a threat to Macedonia; they are old pensioners who will not have kids and multiply like Albanians, they receive an income from Greece but that income will be spent entirely in Macedonia, and they will be taxed in Macedonia. These are individuals who are fed up with Greece and want to spend their last days in Macedonia.
I don’t like the idea of more “Greeks” moving into Macedonia, speaking their crazy language or putting up signs in greek. Where abouts in grease can you see signs in Macedonian or people speaking Macedonian with out fear or shame?
Fuck, they are staying in buildings that can be occupied by other Macedonians. In Aegean Macedonia they kicked our people out of their homes and now we are giving them luxury accommodation in rep of Macedonia!
Northwest Macedonia has already turned into the shiptar Disney land, hate to think of an important place like Bitola with a “greek element”, especially since grk nationals think of Bitola and gevgelijia as
lost territories”
Well i guess the bright side is that they are pensioners so they wont be having any kids
The Greek language should be forbidden in Macedonia, along with all organs that employ Greek as a medium - until the Greek state reciprocates and recognises the Macedonian people and language.
I agree. The Macedonians should be shouting to the entire world that the New Greeks are imposters, and that Macedonia was never Greek, although at the same time they should make it clear that they have no territorial pretensions, but that the truth should be known for the sake of reconciliation.
If the Greeks or Aegean Macedonians have been coming over the border regularly for the Pazar, entertainment and/or to run small businesses they are virtually residents of Macedonia anyway.
If they want to live there I doubt they would have a problem with our country. They would need to learn the Macedonian language and speak it as the primary language if they don’t already.
Aegean Macedonians are bilingual and speak Greek for many reasons, one is they could be Grkomani. Another reason is that they don't speak Macedonian at a fluent/professional level, but they can speak standard Greek fluently and for that reason they prefer to speak Greek. A third reason is that it is a mixed-marriage couple (Macedonian-Prosfygan). I'm not going to defend their actions, but I still believe these are Aegean Macedonians.
My point is not if they are in reality Ethnic Macedonians (What there ancestors were), its do they feel Ethnic Macedonian.
In this case, we can claim the Serbian Tennis player Bojana Jovanovski as one of us aswell. Even though Bojana only speaks Serb and English and has never stepped foot in Macedonia.
Majority are not Ethnic Macedonians otherwise why would they be speaking Greek down the streets of Gevgelija and Bitola? Those that feel Ethnic Macedonian would no doubt speek Macedonian in the streets of Lerin, why would they not speak Macedonian over the border.

I have said that for the past 50 years and blame the citizens then the government.
PEOPLE MUST USE FORCE WHEN DEALING WITH ELECTED OFFICIALS
Is it possible that these 'greeks' that are moving to Macedonia are in fact ethnic Macedonians with greek citizenship? Would an individual who is foreign to Macedonian customs/language/culture etc. move to a country which he has been taught to hate?

And an individual foreign to anything Macedonian, that has been taught to hate would enter a country for something more powerful than hate, and thats the dollar. To save a buck they would temporarily overcome the hatred.
As SOM said, Speaking Greek in our country should be forbidden. Many Greeks believe that if you enter their country then you should speak their language. Well i say, whats good for the goose is good for the gander.
Once i found that hard to believe (the motto you are on my land you speak my language) until i witnessed how they think their shit don't stink with my own eyes and ears when i visited their country. They refuse to speak English or Macedonian, i went through hell trying to get information.

I say let them in - if they speak Macedonian, have a babba & dedo and can show some Macedonian lineage, otherwise keep them out. It should be a condition of entry that they become Macedonians and acknowledge the identity of the country before they are allowed to either live or visit the country!
