You are right in that the model for an emerging country is to do its own but also get aid from the diaspora…Israel is the classic example…but most Maks have virtually severed their ties of returning to live there while the Albanians are turning it into their mission. Even the Macedonia 2025 mob are rich businessmen waiting for the right conditions to invest in Macedonia to give them the kind of returns they want.

Just some examples of the mentality of Albanians in Macedonia:
These are people who are optimistic about (their) future. They are by far one of the most entrepreneurial ethnic groups in Macedonia and are investing lots of (foreign) money in their home towns. Therefore they are also taking over the country economically. Just some pics to illustrate my point:

New Albanian owned restaurants and hotels are popping up everywhere.

In Tetovo it is the same situation, except Albanians are investing more in residential structures. After working and getting experience abroad they come back to Macedonia and start a construction company. Here is what they have transformed Tetovo's main streets into:

















I don't think any other city in Macedonia (besides Skopje) have seen a construction boom this big. Bitola apparently is Macedonia's second largest city and the diaspora has tens of thousands of Bitolchani, but Bitola has never seen any construction like this. Don't be surprised if Tetovo replaces Bitola as the second largest city in the next census.

When i last went to macedonia and visited places like Struga and Kicevo i spoke to many young macedonians who were university educated but had to lower themselves to working as say barmen or waiters for ghegs who ran high class restaurants and hotels in Struga/Kicevo. They had no problems working for ghegs or even learning a bit of the gheg dialect because if they worked for macedonians they would not get paid for months usually. At least the gheg paid them and paid them handsomely....

What the hell is the macedonian government doing? All macedonian inhabited cities are turning into old relics while the "albanian cities" are booming. The only macedonian city that has had a major redevelopment is Strumica, but it was done using illegal blood money from Zoran Zaev.....

It is shameful that Bitola, the second most important and beautiful city in the entire of united macedonia is decaying away into obscurity while terrorist breeding grounds like Tetovo are over taking it in almost every aspect. Bitola MUST be returned to its former glory.

You are half correct, not all albanian people are bad. Albanians from albania are good to macedonians (well some of them, and they are usually the tosks).

The ghegs in macedonia and kosovo -well do you have any proof that they respect the macedonian people and nation? There is plenty of proof on this very thread that the ghegs in macedonia dont want ANYTHING to do with macedonians, but since you know better as you live in macedonia, why dont you tell us a bit more on just how great the ghegs are to us and how much they want to "help" the republic?

Very well said. I also hope for Bitola to be returned to it's former glory as it was in the Ottoman days a high ranking city together with Solun. Strumica has seen some redevelopment but unfortunately it still lags behind Tetovo.

The problem with Albanians in Macedonia is unlike the other minority groups, the Albanians do no want to integrate in Macedonian society. They want their own territory, their own flag, and they want their own separate nationalism. They do not care about their country's name and they do not care for anything that's not Albanian. This is what I find strange, here we have an ethnic group who claims to have lived in Macedonia for centuries, yet they do not respect the Macedonian state or flag. There are many Albanians now who are employed by the Macedonian government as doctors, teachers, municipal workers - whose paycheck comes from Macedonia - yet they still feel the need to raise our neighbor's national flag instead of our own. This is a major problem.

Also you must clearly be Albanian because I have never seen a Macedonian call Tetovo "Tetove".

I don't know your situation with albaniains and all but they aren't a bad race.. There's a huge albanian diaspora that visits Macedonia annually, when they come they spend helping out the local economy. And yes it counts for a decent amount of the economy as the same situation with Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, Albania with their diaspora. Alot go to Macedonian schools and study there.

I'm not going to go into this argument as I'll be wrong and shunned apart either way.

My mistake, tetovo isnt the breeding ground for terrorists, Its only the centre of albanian nationalism and seperatism in macedonia, the so called "capital of Illrida".

The real terrorist breeding ground is in the so called "Republic of Tanushevci".

Also alot of the cities where Albanians are inhabited aren't booming. Kiecevo for example is a shit hole.. The roads are dirt with pot holes everywhere, no infrastructure, garbage, congested with traffic, abandon stores, gypsies, etc.. Some parts are decent though especially the walking boulevard but the city is the definition of a Eastern Euro slum.

Yes, the Albanians in Kicevo are definately doing it tough. Thats why in Kicevo 4 storey mansions are springing up almost as quickly as the new mosque which has been built there. Of course they dont have Macedonia to thank for allowing them to build massives houses (illegally) or new mosques (also illegally), they have Italy to thank for this. And this is why some houses feel the need to drape massive Italian flags over their balcony. They have no respect for the country which has tolerated their bullshit over the past 20 years.

We are not "reading" propaganda, we are seeing it.
