    Euro Lite anyone?

Onur created an interesting thread here

It is obvious the Euro is an artificial mechanism that has failed. Now I am beginning to think about how it will all disentangle itself. I am thinking the EU would hate for Greece to go back to the drachma etc. and wonder if all the "loser" EU countries might get their own shared currency .... the "EURO LITE". I know it kind of sounds funny but am thinking the currency is the only simple mechanism for the EU to seriously keep blackmailing the "loser" EU countries.

I am sure the idea has been tabled already.

Given their ineptitude at any sort of fiscal control over rogue EU members with ballooning debts and their willingness to keep throwing money at countries that don't know how to handle it - i would agree that the Euro Lite is exactly the sort of solution these morons would embark upon instead of holding the rogues to account - just throw more money at them - this time we'll throw money at them we can devalue easily, without affecting the Euro!
On Delchev's sarcophagus you can read the following inscription: "We swear the future generations to bury these sacred bones in the capital of Independent Macedonia. August 1923 Illinden"

I agree with that, RTG. They are using economic power as a poliical tool.

'Euro Lite', sounds like the sort of exchange rate you get when you purchase something with your UMD credit card...

Some countries will be so bankrupt that they'll be sorry they ever joined.Debts will definitely drag the economies down as how are they going to pay their huge debts.
