The 2010 Macedonian Film Festival in Melbourne, Australia will be held on October 21st - October 24th at Hoyts Cinemas - Melbourne Central.

Festival announced for 2010

Melbourne's only Macedonian Film Festival returns for a bigger and better 2nd year.

This year marks the second anniversary of the Melbourne Macedonian Film Festival which showcases local and international films made by Macedonian filmmakers. We bring you the best in film making from a range of features, animation, documentaries and shorts.

Festival organiser Sotir Stojcevski says, "We are very excited to bring you this years festival. It will showcase an amazing range of films from Macedonian film makers and hope to bring all Melbournians a taste of what Macedonian cinema has to offer." As well as showcasing films from Macedonia, the festival will also screen films from International film makers on the subject of Macedonia. One such movie is "A Name is Name" by Norwegian director Sigurjon Einarsson whose documentary feature is about a group of people who call themselves Macedonians and what it means to them to be known as such. Other selections include short films and classics.
