Tactica by Emperor Leo VI the Wise

The Tactica is a military treatise written by or on behalf of Byzantine Emperor Leo VI the Wise in ca. 895-908.

It has 20 Chapters on Military tactics, preparation, battle, etc and is in many regards similar to Sun Tzu's "Art of War".

Does anyone know where I can get a copy of this, in English?

      It's already available, see here:

However, an unflattering picture of both the author and the work is painted in Tougher, S. The reign of Leo VI (886-912): politics and people.

      See chapter 7 here: http://books.google.com.au/books?id=...aktika&f=false
