PM Nikola Gruevski accompanied by Minister of Information Society Ivo Ivanovski Saturday visited student dormitory �Stiv Naumov� where free internet network was launched.

- This wraps up the government project, which included internet for each student in all student dormitories. What is included in the dormitory is the latest technology i.e. high-speed network, Ivanovski said.

Last year free internet was launched in 11 student dormitories.

The state seized illegal property, worth around 20 million euros.

The police have seized several apartments, business buildings, bonds and shares in several banks across the country. This action was conducted because the convicted didn't return the illegally acquired property.

Minister of Justice Mihajlo Manevski made the remarks and explained that the property was seized under the law.

Most of the convicted are charged with money laundry and abuse of job position.

Dragan Daravelski, Kiril Docevski, Miodgra Markovic, Zivko Eftimovski, Borko Markovic, Limani Zurijety, all heads of well-known companies are on the list of convicted.

The new change in the law on seizing illegal property predicts besides seizing personal property, the authorities can seize illegal property which has been given to another person if it is determined that the acceptor knew that the property was acquired illegally.

Macedonia is miles ahead of Australia when it comes to Internet Broadband, even the most remote villages have Wi Fi internet but i guess Australia is a massive country with so much land and its only 15% inhabited. But lets not forget that this internet network will be free in Stiv Naumov aswell as the other student homes, there is no such thing as a free lunch in Australia they might give out a 5% discount but they wont give free internet to anybody. They are building new universities,high schools and primary schools also free internet locations where people can come in and use the internet for free all over Macedonia even in the remote areas.

Macedonia has the best internet in the world, broadband runs at the fastest rate anywhere and wi-fi can be accessed at the remotest of places. It is amazing just how advanced Macedonia is in this regard.

Brate, It was but not anymore, they fully renovated it as far as i know, i think they are calling it the Maski Dom and there is a Zhenski Dom but i dont know which one it is.

I agree the Studentski Domovi were terrible, you wouldnt let a dog sleep there but they have been renovating them.
