Anyway, the point of this thread is to find out why the country description of 'the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia' is an international standard, and how this can be rectified.
It is no use having the majority of countries recognize 'Republic of Macedonia', when the above 'international standard' exists.
The successor to ZSM(Zavod za standardizacija i metrologija), is ISRM(Standardization Institute of the Republic of Macedonia), which is member of the ISO.
One of the responsibilities of the ISRM is representing Macedonian national standardization interests in the international, European and regional standardization organizations.
