Hmm, interesting suggestion.
My only concern is that the written word loses some of its power.
Some of the members are creating a virtual library of their ideology. It would be a shame to lose some of their significance.
But .... it is a cool idea and still worth looking into.
Risto the Great MACEDONIA:ANHEDONIA "Holding my breath for the revolution."
Live chat can be good in some instances, but it can become crazy with multiple users. We would lose a lot of the more thought out posts that can become good reference points.
If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
The Revolution was in the minds and hearts of the people; a change in their religious sentiments, of their duties and obligations...This radical change in the principles, opinions, sentiments, and affections of the people was the real American Revolution. John Adams
SM, i was actually thinking of this as well, it is a good idea.
I think something like the facebook chat would be good and simple for the MTO.
The facebook chat is only one on one. Something like this would eliminate the threat of loosing valuable discussion, personal irelevent discussion would be reduced Also, it would reduce going in and out of the pm section which would make it more user friendly. Thumbs up for that idea.
And another good idea would be so we cant spend too much time on the chat and just forget about the forum.
The idea is that the chat will be on for a certain amount of time during the day managed by the Admins.

Daniel, don't need to be concerned about the forum being neglected. If its a one on one chat, how much can you talk about and worth sharing when you are talking with someone one on one. The benefit for this pop up one on one chat is for quick messaging and two can air there frustrations at each other with quicker speed, rather than all reading personal crap.
From the village of P’pezhani, Tashko Popov, Dimitar Popov-Skenderov and Todor Trpenov were beaten and sentenced to 12 years prison. Pavle Mevchev and Atanas Popov from Vrbeni and Boreshnica joined them in early 1927, they were soon after transferred to Kozhani and executed. As they were leaving Lerin they were heard to shout "With our death, Macedonia will not be lost. Our blood will run, but other Macedonians will rise from it"
Daniel we don't want to encourage people to leave this forum. By loging in to a chat site takes us away from this forum. Also i find live chats messy when to many people want to say something, especialy when there are 20 diferant discussions going on at one time.
It would be impractical for the purpose of the MTO.
1. It would be difficult to follow with many users on at the same time ie who said what by the time you get to respond.
2. Not everyone can be on at the same time. We live in different time zones and work and other commitments will make it impractical.
3. Some responses are best done with a moment or two to check the validity of a point be it a reference manual or a previous statement on MTO.
4. Chat is more suited to social interactions and some of the threads raised eg Eurovision sports ect could be discussed on a chat.
5.I think the forum works best as it also allows the many who follow the site but post less often a chance to keep up with the topics. I followed the site for a long time before deciding to join. Also I have noticed when on the member count could be low but the total number reading be very high.
If one were to be introduced maybe it could be restricted to social time and subjects.
Im for this idea, have the chatroom at the top of the forums you can type to someone then look for new posts that might be posted. Id like to chat with a few on here
